Portugal shows us the way

In Portugal an environmental milestone has been reached without seemingly generating (apologies for the pun!) much press. In what James Watson, the CEO of SolarPower Europe has hailed as “a significant achievement for a European country, but what seems extraordinary today will be commonplace in Europe in just a few years. The energy transition process is gathering momentum and records such as this will continue to be set and broken across Europe.”

Solar Panels

So have you adorned your roof yet with 16 panels of Solar Photovoltaic cells? I am regularly schmoozed by companies all offering amazing deals and guarantees with the added frighteners that I need to be quick or I will miss out on Government deals etc. I have not yet worked out which is the best deal, but every sunny day I do feel that our south facing roof is looking quite naked without a covering of neatly aligned panels.say Adeus! to fossil fuels with solar panels

My father has solar panels and gleefully records the daily count and savings – he has bought his and so feeds into the government scheme whereby he is paid for the electricity his panels generate. With considerable outlay to recoup he dances merrily when the sun is shining but of course is even more fed up than a regular Englishman when the weather is inclement!
